Glee Audition Update.

So Tuesday I got the email stating that Glee was opening their audition process. SCORE.

Now through April 26th I'm allowed to send my audition.

From the email:

Videos must feature an explanation about why the auditioner wants to be on GLEE as well as a demonstration of his/her stellar singing ability by performing one of 10 GLEE hits, including "True Colors," "You Can't Always Get What You Want" and "Lean on Me." Performances must be either acappella or with single instrument accompaniment via MySpace Karaoke or by uploading their own pre-recorded videos. Audition videos must be limited to five minutes in length – a one-minute introduction and a four-minute song – and are limited to one submission per person. Fans will be able to share the videos across various networks, post comments and rate their favorites with gold stars.

*GULP* help me please.

So the listed songs are:

And I'm telling you I'm not going - Dreamgirls

Gold Digger (radio version) - Kanye

Rehab - Amy Winehouse

You can't always get what you want - rolling stones

Can't fight this feeling - REO Speedwagon

Don't Rain on my parade - Babs (as in Barbra Streisand)

Hate on me - Jill Scott

Keep holding on - Avril Levinge

Lean on me - Bill Wither

True Colors - Phil Collins

I don't know what I'm going to do. I mean I'm gravitating toward Babs just because that's my background.... But what if it's too ambitious. and how the hell am I going to get my hands on a track? I'm at a loss.

Thoughts? Feelings? Observations?

Should I even attempt it? I'm at a loss. Out of my comfort zone and not liking it.

Babs is in your background and would work, but I think your voice would sound good with "Keep holding on" as well.

I agree with Mrs. G. I vote for "Keep Holding On" - it's a great song and I predict that you will carry it well.

And who the hell uses MySpace anything anymore? Just sayin'.

That is a weird cross section of songs. You should most definitely still do it...you may be out of your comfort zone, but you still have to chase this dream. And this may seem werid, but from the few videos of you, I think you'd do a good job with REO. That's a great song, and you could definitely make it your own.

I agree with everyone else. I would definitely go for it, you have nothing to lose! And I think "Keep Holding On" is definitely your best beat but if you feel more comfortable with Babs then I would go with that instead.
